The Heartwood Foundation is offering premium evergreen trees, wreaths, and garlands fresh-cut from the Pacific Northwest and available for pickup in San Juan Capistrano at Head Heart & Hands.
Your purchase of evergreens helps our children explore real-world business and math skills and fund meaningful educational field trips.
You can also share the holiday spirit by donating beautiful evergreens to our troops or giving to Harbor Point, a local church that serves under-resourced families in our community.

ANCIENT ORIGINS
Did you know the tradition of using evergreens to celebrate winter festivals dates back thousands of years, long before Christianity adopted it? Evergreens such as trees and wreaths have been used as decorations during the Winter Solstice since the time of the ancient Romans and Celts. People decorated their homes with them to symbolize hope. The Waldorf tradition of Spiral Walk has roots in this idea of hope during the darkest time and uses evergreens as the main decoration.
