Kindergarten Assistant
I am honored to be part of the Head, Heart, and Hands community as a Kindergarten Assistant—a role that feels deeply aligned with my heart’s calling. As both a parent and a lifelong learner, I am continually inspired by the reverence and wonder that lives at the heart of Waldorf education. Being in this nurturing environment nourishes my soul and supports the way I feel called to raise my own children—with creativity, presence, and a connection to the rhythms of nature.
My path has been rooted in movement, creativity, and a deep love for children. I spent many years as a professional ballerina, and the discipline, grace, and joy of that art form continue to shape how I move through the world. I hold a degree in Child Psychology and have certifications in multiple healing modalities, which enrich my heart-centered approach to supporting children’s emotional, physical, and imaginative lives.
Handwork, song, storytelling, and time in nature have long been part of my own life. I especially enjoy fiber arts—knitting and felting in particular—as personal practices that ground and inspire me. I also feel deeply connected to the seasonal rhythms that shape the Waldorf year and cherish participating in the festivals and celebrations that honor nature’s cycles and bring our community together in meaningful ways.
At home, my “Sommers crew”—my husband Demetrius, our children Wolfie, Sasha Moon, and Alexi, and our beloved animals—share a love for outdoor adventures. From daily bike rides to the beach to camping trips back home in Mt. Shasta, we are always exploring and creating together as a family.
I am thrilled to spend my days immersed in a space that celebrates childhood in such a magical and meaningful way. It is a true joy and I am so grateful to be here at Head Heart and Hands.
“Gratitude opens the door to joy; love lights the way; and magic sparkles in every moment we share.”
